Pointers Business Forum

Pointers Business Forum (PBF) is a distinctive non-profit entity, registered as a Section 8 company, formed by former students of South Point High School. It was conceived during the COVID pandemic with the explicit aim of establishing a platform for mutual support among entrepreneurs and startups. The core idea is to foster understanding, learning, and collective growth by acquainting ourselves with each other and our respective fields of work.

With over 750 members scattered across the globe, PBF operates akin to a parallel chamber of commerce, providing a robust framework for networking, sharing business intelligence, generating leads, and advancing our enterprises through the exchange of information and contacts.

Our journey began modestly, with only a few members engaging in lively exchanges of business insights. Before the pandemic and the lockdown, we were just professionals with a 9 to 6 job. As the storm blew over, we reflected on the necessity of essential food items and their contribution to our health. The idea of the ‘Farm to Home Shop’ took shape from this thought -- Eat healthy and develop immunity. So, we have reached out to the Farmers’ Club of rural Bengal to procure farm-fresh quality products for our customers. PBF has always stood by me in this endeavour.

PBF EXPO 2023 has come as a boon to all of us, whether one is a seasoned business person, or just a newcomer. In short, I would say this platform is creating magic. I have been a business woman for the past 20 years. Now that I have launched my business online, PBF has stood by me like a rock. To name one incident (from the amazing many), Bharat Manchandia guided me and gave me ideas on how to participate in this Forum this year. There are juniors, seniors, batchmates, who all encouraged me to go ahead. I got good response here, right from the get go. It felt like one big family and I have received immense support from all members.
